A new church is taking root in Salem.
It started as a Bible study on a back patio. Now we gather every Sunday at 10 at East Salem Community Center. We’d love to meet you.
How Canon Point began.
- A little over three years agoA Bible study on a back patio
Pastor Jason and his family opened up their back patio to study the Bible with friends.
- ThenA fellowship group
That Bible study grew into a fellowship group.
- NextA launch team
As the group kept growing, it became clear God was leading them to plant a church in Salem.
- Easter Sunday 2026Canon Point launches
After 15 years at Athey Creek, including 10 years serving as a pastor, Athey Creek sent Jason and his family to plant Canon Point Church.
- TodayA growing church family
With a simple mission: pointing people to Jesus.
“We came in on Easter Sunday and never left.”
Doug and Julie
We’d be glad to welcome you.
Whether you’ve been looking for a church or you’re simply curious about Canon Point, you’re welcome to come see what a Sunday is like.
Come as you are. Bring your family. We’ll be glad you’re here.
A simple Sunday centered on Jesus and Scripture.
You can expect verse-by-verse Bible teaching, worship, prayer, and a church family that’s still growing together.
- You don’t need to know anyone before you come.
- You don’t need to dress a certain way.
- You don’t need to have everything figured out.
Just come.
Kids are welcome here too.
We want families to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Our team will help you find where to go, answer questions, and make check-in as simple as possible.
If it’s your first Sunday, give yourself a few extra minutes and we’ll help you get settled.
Here’s what matters to us.
No skipping the hard parts. On Sundays we’re working through Luke, and on Wednesday nights we’re in Genesis, one passage at a time.
Every Sunday, the songs and the sermon point back to Him.
We launched on Easter 2026 and we’re still growing together. We’d love to learn your name.
Thinking about coming Sunday?
We’d love to meet you. Leave your name and the best way to reach you. We’d be glad to answer any questions or simply know to say hello when you arrive.
We’ll be ready for you.
Come see for yourself this Sunday at 10.
