Baptism

“Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”

- Acts 22:16

Baptism is an outward sign of the inward work that Jesus has already done in your heart.

It’s a simple, powerful way to publicly say, “I belong to Jesus.”

Baptism is a public declaration that you have put your faith in Jesus Christ and received His gift of salvation.

It points to the gospel: Jesus died, was buried, and rose again—and in Him we are made new.

When you go under the water, it pictures your old life being buried with Christ.

When you come up out of the water, it pictures you being raised to walk in newness of life.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
 — Romans 6:4

Why Be Baptized?

  • It’s a public declaration of your new identity in Christ.

  • Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized.

  • Jesus Himself was baptized and set the example for us.

If you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you are ready to be baptized!
