Meet Pastor Jason

In 2024, we began to sense the Lord stirring our hearts that the time was near. For years we’ve known God had called our family to plant a life-giving church, but we didn’t yet know where or when. Then, through prayer and confirmation, God made it clear: our hometown, Salem, Oregon.

After many incredible years of serving at Athey Creek Church, in 2025 our pastor Brett and the leadership team confirmed what God had already been speaking — that the time had come to step out in faith and pioneer a new work in the city we once thought we’d never return to, but God always knew we would.

Oregon is one of the least churched states in America, yet we believe God is writing a new story here. Our hearts burn to see people encounter Jesus, find community, and experience transformation from the inside out.

Our dream is to launch Canon Point Church, a life changing, Bible teaching, Jesus centered church where people can find truth, freedom, and purpose. A church that stands firm on God’s Word and shines His light in the heart of Oregon’s capital city.

We believe the same God who stirred our hearts to return to Salem is already preparing hearts here to encounter Him. As we step out in faith to plant Canon Point Church, we’d love for you to be part of it.
